Are you ready to tackle your weight, but can’t make it to meetings? Then Inova’s Personal Weight Coach is for you. This internet-only program will address managing your weight through making healthier lifestyle choices. Classes are located on a private website and you will communicate with your Personal Weight Coach primarily through email. Over the 12 week program, support will include weekly emails, personalized goals and telephone consultations.
This gradual lifestyle change program assists with incorporating healthy choices into daily life ~ this is not a diet program. It is a long-term comprehensive program that is tailored to meet individual needs.
You will need Adobe Reader to open many of the Personal Weight Coach documents. If you have problems opening these documents, please download the latest version of Adobe Reader.

Your Coach! Everyone knows the secret to losing weight is to make healthy food choices, eat appropriate amounts of healthy foods and to exercise, but it is still hard.
What many programs are missing is the professional that works FOR YOU every step of the way... encouraging you, educating you, supporting you, pushing you. That is what your Personal Weight Coach will do for you!
The website indicates the start date for Personal Weight Coach to be the end of each month ~ that is INCORRECT and is a limitation of the website
You can register and start Personal Weight Coach at any time
Get started right away with lifestyle changes using our Express to Success start with the support of your Coach
You will be emailed the username and password that is necessary to access the Personal Weight Coach website
Read the Personal Weight Coach classes online—in the comfort of your home, at the time that is best for you
Within 6 weeks, you and your Coach will develop your own personalized goals
Throughout the 12-week program, you will be receive a total of four (4) 6-week goals that will be broken down into specific, gradual weekly goals
Share your progress with your Coach by answering a weekly survey
Email your Coach as often as you want

What will I be doing over the 12 weeks?
Reading online classes: topics ranging from 'Satiety & Hunger' to 'Starting an Exercise Program' to being 'Supermarket Savvy' ~ Review the PWC Weekly Syllabus
Completing a few 'homework' assignments including a health history, eating awareness journal, and goal ranking exercise
Working on specific weekly goals that will support your weight management goals
Emailing and/or talking with your Coach
What is the cost of Personal Weight Coach?
This 12-week program is $200.00
That breaks down to a weekly cost $16.67 for personalized lifestyle goals and support from a specially trained professional
You can pay by credit card through Inova Teleservices, which is the registration department for all of the Inova HealthSource classes
What if I want to continue working with my Coach?
You will be able to sign up for Personal Weight Coach II, at a cost of $200.00 for another 12 week session
PWC II is a continuation of Personal Weight Coach and includes new online classes
Once Personal Weight Coach II is complete, you may continue to work with your coach in PWC Maintenance at a cost of $175.00 for each 12 week session.
What is the Refund Policy?
You must contact Inova WeightNET at 703.698.2434 within 7 business days of registering.
You will be refunded the cost of the program minus a $25 processing fee.
Who or what is Inova HealthNET and Inova WeightNET?
Inova HealthNET is a series of care management programs that have been in place for Inova Health System employees and spouses as part of their employee benefit package
The weight management program is now available to the community as Personal Weight Coach.
